Nitrous Oxide: Just One More Way We Offer Comfort-focused Dental Care
In certain situations, a local anesthetic is not enough for some patients to feel relaxed at most appointments. If necessary, we offer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) in the office for a completely safe, reversible type of relaxation sedation. The nitrous oxide helps patients to feel more relaxed by breathing in a steady amount of the controlled nitrous and oxygen mixture.
This mixture is completely reversible by the end of the procedure and we will allow most patients to drive themselves home. This procedure allows patients to feel at ease without the side effects of full sedation. Nitrous oxide is also a very good option for children’s dentistry.
