Radiographs: Advanced Dental Imaging Technology
Radiographs are routinely taken with the highest quality and lowest radiation digital system. The radiation in dental radiographs is less than one day of natural background radiation.
Radiographs are digital images on a computer to facilitate education for the patient and understanding of the diagnosis. Radiographs are taken to diagnose dental decay, gum diseases, infections, or any pain/sensitivity
Typically, every 3-5 years a panoramic radiograph will be taken and every year four bitewing radiographs. More radiographs may be necessary when needed as determined by the doctor. Types include bitewings, periapicals, full-mouth series, Cone-beam computerized technology (CBCT), and panoramic.
